Mitsubishi QY231 CNC I/O Expansion Card The QY231 (also A52231/QY231A) is a machine operation board input/output card used in Mitsubishi MELDAS CNC control systems to provide additional digital I/O lines to the control unit. It connects to the remote I/O bus via the control unit's RIO connectors and occupies two I/O stations. It offers 64 digital inputs (photocoupler isolated) and 48 digital outputs (sink/source). Engineers commonly add the QY231 when expanding CNC control functionality, for example, to add more sensors, limit switches, relays, etc., to the machine's operation panel.
